DX Alliance - Tech Tuesday - From Idea to Impact

Why Building Your Own Products Pays Off

Guest: Veronica Millington, Innovation Strategist & Co-Founder

Hosted by: DX Alliance

🗓 Tuesday, April 15

🕛 12–1 PM AST

Veronica will share her journey of building tech solutions that solved real problems, and knowing how to tell the story behind them.

Currently the Head of Exploration at UNDP Accelerator Labs, Veronica is a Barbadian product strategist and former co-founder of a Caribbean transportation tech start-up. She has launched mobile apps, scaled digital platforms to over 22,000 users, and raised funding through angel investment, grants, and crowdfunding. Her work has touched tech, tourism, transportation, and data - and her passion lies in helping others do the same.

Whether you’re technical or not, whether your product is big or small, Veronica will walk us through how building something of your own can elevate your career and create opportunities far beyond what a résumé can offer.

DX Alliance - Tech Tuesday’s Lunch Break — with John West & Orchex

📅 Date: April 8th, 2025

🕛 Time: 12 PM AST (Barbados Time)

📍 Location: Zoom (link provided upon registration)

Join us on April 8th at 12 PM AST for a powerful conversation with the former CTO of Sitecore as he unveils a new product category that could change how the world builds software—and why he’s making it open source.

John West helped grow Sitecore into a billion-dollar software company. Now, he’s back—with Orchex, a groundbreaking orchestration engine designed for the new era of composable platforms. But here’s the twist: he’s giving it away.

Why?

Because the future of tech should be ethical. Open. Shared.

In this live Tech Tuesdays session hosted by Dennis Augustine, we’ll explore:

  • Why composable architecture needs a rethink

  • How Orchex acts as the “operating system” for interoperable digital services

  • Why the open-source model matters now more than ever

  • How governments, businesses, and developers can build better without vendor lock-in

💡 Whether you're a public sector leader, developer, tech strategist or innovator—this session is your invitation to think differently.
